Clutch change

I'm out in the garage changing the clutch in the white car.

It was starting to slip fairly regularly. Had a new one for a couple of months, finally got the time to install.

I'm sure this is the factory clutch sill in there. Every single bolt was extremely factory tight locked on.

I'll be glad when its over.

Would be nice to slam in a JUN flywheel, but can't justify it any more on this car. Focus totally on bluey, it gets all the performance gear, this one doesn't get touched, apart from reliable, simple, low-cost stuff.

Will pretty much just look after it and not modify it any more.

All done as well as a regular service.

So much nicer when you know the car is mechanically fit.

Old clutch was shagged right down to the rivets and had burred the pressure plate. Flywheel side was fine.

Inside the gearbox housing was absolutely filthy, and the release bearing was half ceased. All cleaned up and re-greased and new release bearing etc now. Lovely!

Bluey must be getting close??

I guess bluey is about half way there now, but should come along quicker now. The hard bit is done.
