K11 will not start

Thu 14 Aug 2014 04:44:53 AM
Hi Everyone,
Having trouble with the K11, 1.0lt, 16valve automatic. Its a 1993! Had a look at some threads here and got some great info but no joy yet!
The plugs are sparking, but no fuel. Put new fuel filter in. Put a pump in. (old pump works off battery, Doh)
Swapped a relay from near ECU into fuel pump relay spot still no luck. Put a meter on wires at pump and no power when cranking. No power at fuel pump relay on crank either?
When changing the pump I poured some juice into throttle body and fired her up no problem until juice ran out.

can somebody teach me how to check earths at ECU? or all earths, or maybe immoboliser???? confused!

a 93 should,nt be immobilised technot, and the fuelpump is constant live and signaled via earth from the ecu iirc
and the fuelpump relay is usually behind the kick panel/trim on the bottom of the o/s A pillar

Hi frank2, thanks for reply. The key does look very basic so I think you must be right about no immobiliser. I put another relay in the place behind kick panel(similar one robbed from near ecu), but still no luck. I put a meter on the receiver part when relay was removed and cranked, no volts. I take it my constant live is gone? fuses in engine bay and drivers side dash looked good. I must check them again. is there a way to check "signaled via earth from the ecu iirc"
Thanks again

Grab an ECU and swap over.

You mention its an auto, your park switch could have gone.

I know nothing of auto micra's, but usually in an auto box, if the ECU isn't being told its in park, it won't prime the pump. Something to look at at least.
