Just got my first K11. Dodgy fuel consumption? |

Picked up a decent K11 with 10 months rego off gumtree for 1800, as a project and a daily after crashing my old car.
My question is, i filled it up from just under 1/4, and its almost down to a quater and ive only done 250kms? 100 of which were highway sitting on 90km This just seems waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to thirsty. What do you giys average per tank? And any suggestions? Thanks in advance! |

I get about 550 to a tank, does it seem to be running okay? Any smoke? Sluggish?

Throttle body probably needs re-soldering, mine was the same when I got it, does it run rough low in the rev range? there's a DIY on here on how to do it.

I've never had a k11 that does 550ks to a tank

Mine gets 550 a tank also, on caltex 95, seem to get best fuel consumption out of that for some reason

I've done 550 before, when I first got it, I don't pay attention to my mileage anymore, flog the bloody thing everywhere

best i got on mine was 460km, when i was driving like a grandma..lol. now usually around 420km. |
