Standard Auto or NCVT? |
Mon 11 Mar 2013 08:51:07 AM |
Hi There,
Just a quick question... I have a 2000 998cc Nissan March Auto (Japanese Model). I assume it is a cvt model, but i can always feel a distinct shift up when accelerating. Also, if I give it gas it will shift down. So this might be a really dumb question - but are all nissan k11 autos ncvt or are there standard 4-speed models too? This feels more like a standard auto transmission. If there are both, how do I confirm which mine is? Thanks for the help! |

the ncvt was an REOF05A pre-2000, and an REOF21A post 2000 apparently ken (not sure on the japspec ones tho), and all auto,s have a kickdown eh

OK,
Thanks for the info! I expected a kickdown when I stomp on the gas, but the shift up surprised me as I thought cvts weren't supposed to do this? oh well... So just to be sure it's almost definitely a cvt type transmission - not a standard planetary auto transmission? |
