Lx is a base model, not many extras, super s is like a sports model and not many were brought due to price, if you are after something small like the micra then yeah the lx is worth it or even the slx(4door)

Just my 20c, it really depends on what you are planning to do with it. Most examples are now around 17 years old, so many things will need replacing/refurbishing. If your preference is 3dr and may want a/c and/or power steering then your options are limited.

For me, I got an Lx as I wanted to strip it out and do some track work with it.

could always fit a/c, buy a slx being wrecked strip all the bits the lx dose not have & fit, will require removing the entire dash to fit all in cabin a/c stuff. the engine bay stuff isn't that hard to access, if your not overly mechanically minded the cost to have someone else fit it kinda out weighs to effort but if your good with that kinda stuff or know someone who is and can assist you could do it in 2-3 days
