I was just driving on the motorway when the engine light came on theres nothing wrong with the way the car is running but i would like to find out why the light is on is there any way i can check the codes myself

Found the info on another site and now its hear if you need it
Accessing - Switch the ignition on - Bridge data link connector terminals IGN and CHK (IMAGE TO COME VERY SOON) - Wait 2 seconds - Disconnect the bridge - Count the Flashes (some models will display the codes on the ECM) - Long flashes = tens Short flashes = units Short pause separates each flash Long pause separates each code - Switch ignition off to finish Erasing - Switch on ignition - Bridge terminals IGN and CHK - Wait 2 seconds - Disconnect Bridge - Check fault LED for flashes - Bridge terminals IGN and CHK - Wait 2 seconds - Disconnect Bridge - Switch ingnition off - Follow access procedure to ensure nothing remains in the memory Trouble Codes 11 - CMP sensor/CKP sensor - intermittent signal 12 - MAF sensor - circuit malfunction 13 - ECT sensor - circuit malfunction 21 - Ingition signal - circuit malfunction 28 - Engine coolant blower motor malfunction 34 - Knock sensor - circuit malfunction 41 - IAT sensor - circuit malfunction 43 - TP sensor - circuit malfunction 55 - No fault |
