such a tight fit but neat install, well done

thanks! yeah turbo came out bigger than i thought lol, had to smooth off the turbo and hammer in abit of the bonnet reinforcements just to close it. Need a custom heat shield made up soon.

cheers nsm :) it was already a good build up when i bought it so it didnt need much in the first place, fun to drive but just not enough on the straights. straight after this garage its going to another for slotted rotors and endless brake pads, after that then i need to look for 14" tyres...the hard part :( anyone know anywhere with decent 14" tyres?

How are you finding the falkens? I have a few sets of 195/60R14 semi slicks and they are HUGE, I wouldn't have thought they'd fit on a low micra. Next time you are after tyres (and if the exchange rate is favourable) have a look at Kumho v70a 185/55R14 from Tirerack.com.

Low: its a 'east bear' rear end :)

Tyrie: falkens are great, lots of grip (imo better than KU36's) :D a little scrubbing in the rear with a passenger but thats about it :)

argh lsd...throw more money into this.. haha i'll have to see if i want to take it further or not :P any links to lsd's i can buy? im a noob in the lsd department :(

LowMicra do you have a part number for a Quaife LSD to suit 1.3L K11? I couldnt find a listing for one on demontweaks...

ah k I'll do that. They are good for streeters, the only problem with them is you get zero drive if one wheel is off the ground. Not such a problem with a micra (hopefully) but I'd never use one in a stiff RWD car.

did you end up running this on 12psi? did you need to mod the hks mani at all to fit it?

still using the hks manifold, had to slightly shave the mani to fit the turbo under the bonnet, only the slightest. running 12psi at the moment, im still running a 2and a half inch dump to a 2inch exhaust...looking at finishing the exhaust next week with my HKS hi power muffler and maybe gate/screamer pipe it too lol

Kovert: im still thinking if i should go for a 38mm gate or a bigger one, will it suit my setup? running 12psi planning on upping it to 14psi later on. Researched that bigger gates are better for low boost so i was thinking about a 44mm gate. What else do you have hidden in the garage that i dont have? :D

SSUK: Thanks :D im running a R33 GTR turbo at the moment and its handling the boost very well. no overheating (even with that front bar of mine...) everything in very good condition still :)

wastegate posted this morning mate... got a pair of OMP frp seats if ur interested... been used for 2 track days only! rest of the time they've been stored - basically brand new... $700 for the pair (with sparco aircraft grade billet mounts)

Looks like your rear bar needs a paint

so...after installing the dizzy, ran it on the dyno on 14psi, head gasket decided to rest in peace...so now i have to decide what to do...
anyway, i bought these off kovert for a little help on the rebuild process: Mulholland Cam Gears and AJUSA head bolts and valve regrind set

See if there is a place that can make you up a aluminum head gasket ? That would be good :)

2 nissan head gaskets, and make do with 180 f/whp imo, these k11,s were,nt designed for 200 whp ffs :)

LOL frank its making 200+hpatfw with this setup atm with stock internals n that, maybe after a rebuild ill keep it at 200 flat and just enjoy it as is lol. I only wanted to turbo it to keep up in the straight lines with others, im focused more on the cornering ability of this car and ill take it to the track as soon as i get it back from the workshop :) was thinking about getting a metal 2mm head gasket
