Fuel Gauge

Sun 23 Oct 2005 08:06:24 PM
Anyone else have problems with their gauge. Mine stays on like 3/4 full for ages then drops like crazy to about 1/4 full. Its weird.

Mine stays on 3/4 for ages, then drops to 1/2 within a second or 2 then slowly goes down..

Its just an inherent flaw in the sender or fuel tank design used by Nissan

More like Nissan doesnt know how to make a fuel tank sender co-operate with a gauge.

lol

Its a common problem in Pulsars as well.

I managed to make mine drop at a rate which best reflected fuel useage by cleaning the contacts on the float and re-grounding it. Give that a go and see if it changes anything.

Interesting comments guys.Funny Hacks gauge is nearly spot on, Whitey all over the place.
I am going to set my trip meter each time I fill up as I reckon like aaron if I get around 9kl/l, 378kl will pull her up.
Depends on how much it spends on boost but very hard not to put the pedal to the metal.
