WTB: Coolant overflow bottle |

Looking for an overflow bottle as mine is cracked.

they are hard to get by try retro fitting one from the wreckers or a universal one. a while back some used s13-s14 one. one guy even used a drink tin can...??!? dont know what he was on but dont go THAT cheap lol

Mate of mine used a 2l coke bottle. Work well until his s13 got really hot and the bottle shrank to the size of a 600ml bottle instead. But then he just put a new bottle on.

Did you just remove the overflow & leave it open? do u lose much coolant on a hot day?

Doesnt it cause a problem if there is such a big air pocket? Not sure wit the micra but I know with a few cars that I've owed that if you don't bleed the air pockets out of the cooling system it causes the car to act a lil funny.

the air pocket is just dormant in the top of the rad BOX (and coolant is drawn from the bottom hose eh)
any problems would have shown up years ago (the idler-less, very slack waterpump belt has proved to be problem free over the years also lol :) ) |
