Removing the Ignition Barrel |
Mon 07 Feb 2011 07:45:52 AM |
Hi,
I am trying to remove the ignition barrel from a K11. Do I have to remove the clamp that attaches it in place to get the switch off at the back of it? Seem to be attached on by a sheered off bolt, and looks hard to remove. Thanks for any help. |

You need a small chizel to tap it around with a hammer. Should be able to do it from the bottom i think. I did mine a little while ago and refitted it with proper bolts after that.
Small chizel and tap a groove in it then just hit it in the right direction and should come undone. |

the little screw holding the switchblock on is pretty inaccessible without removing the shearbolts eh chris
i always use a centrepunch to remove them, and you can get a better angle on the punch if you chip some of the shrouding wall off |

Automatic centre punch does the trick without making too much mess.
