windscreen needed.... Perth

Fri 31 Dec 2010 06:56:01 PM

today beat a ford off the lights but once i reached 60km he overtook me and threw a can of coke at my windscreen and cracked it. Wondering if anybody in Perth have a spare windscreen for sale.

cheers

Wow that sucks. I hope you got his rego and reported him to the cops. As for a windscreen, You probably will have no choice other than to buy a new one. New one from novus a few year back was reasonable at $290. Trying to remove an old screen from a car eg wreckers without it breaking is hard.

I have got a wrecked car with the windscreen intact.
just wondering if anyone knows how to remove it and if so i will be able to send it over to perth if its still cheaper than getting new one.

they have to be cut out, and can be tricky if u dont have specialist knives. I practiced on an old pulsar and cracked it in minutes. When me and my panelbeater mate painted my micra we took one out of a wreck and I let him do it. He reckons there difficult and at there work they use a specialist.
I used a 2nd hand screen only cause i had 2 in my yard (and someone to fit it), Normally I would buy a new one, you cant beat a nice clear scratch and chip free screen

just read your other posting and would suggest you let people know what year your micra is as most members own K11s
