is there a difference between the "1.3 super s engine" and the "1.3 LX engine(or any of the 1.3's)"

ive been told there isnt much in it??

its just the exterior of the super s has bumbers with lights in and uprated shock absorbers??

Correct for the most part.

Super S (aussie delivered at least) have a very different brake setup to the other micras (yes thats including the rear discs). Oh and they also have tighter steering racks.

I dunno about uprated suspension. They all seem to handle the same to me.

But that's just in australia. Couldnt comment for the rest of the world.

Well, not really.

Here in australia the Super S has a sunroof, tighter steering rack, seats with half decent side bolstering, tacho, ABS and 4 wheel disc brakes, nicer interior trim and door cards, and in series 2 form they have airbag and powersteering standard.

Its pretty hard to turn an LX into a Super S. Infact, it is cheaper to just buy the Super S.


However, the LX is much more common and if it is removed from your hands in the way of an accident its not going to be an awful lot of heartache because its relaitvely quick and easy to get another one. Infact that is the main reason i am considering buying an LX once i sell my pulsar sss.

Also the LX will be lighter because it doesnt come with much stuff!

apparantly its lighter.

u could strip any car down to make it lighter though
