wtb rubber gromit thingy..

Wed 03 Mar 2010 07:57:11 AM
yesterday my brake lights wouldnt turn off even with keys out. Turned out that it was the rubber thing behind the brake pedal (its kind of orange yellow..) . It had fallen out and crumbled to bits. Its square shaped, anyone got one for me cause right now im using bluetac..

Use a bolt to replace it is the easiest thing. I had to do it myself.

Maybe try searching for 'brake light switch' to see how others fixed it.

Nissan- don't make the k11 specific one anymore, but they used to sell the same for the pulsar, cost me $1.20 or so, was green in colour.

Hey
I noticed the clutch pedal also has the same grommet, could you put it onto your brake pedal?

the bolt works a treat and also a cable tie works well as well. Anything that can block the hole really so it makes contact with the pedal switch. Is a two minute fix and stays fixed.

Ok so it might look a bit dodgy but how often do you look at the switches on the pedals?
