radio code

how do I get the radio to accept the pin code ... it displays "secure" on the screen .. I thought the trick was to switch on the raio and leave the radio switched on untill it displayed "code" but it does not want to after a few hours of waiting .. am I missing something ???

it is a Blaupunkt radio cassette badged as a Nissan radio
