Micra FOR SALE – Possible $$$ Maker

Hi Guys,

Wrote in last week having found out Micra had a leaking head gasket... have decided I will try and sell as I can’t afford the repairs. Car could appeal to someone who has mechanical knowledge, as repairs quoted to cost more in labour than in parts. Resale could give a good profit. Or use for spare parts?

The car is a red ’95 LX 3 door manual, just over 205,000 km’s, no p/s, has a/c (but not hooked up at the moment), new cross member fitted last month, new battery, body & interior and tyres in good condition (small patch sun damage on rear wing), has rego until October, car runs but is on the rough side. Used to be brilliant. Recent service showed work needing done as:
head gasket leaking
rear brake cylinders need replacing
front outer CV needs replacing

Car is in Gosford NSW, $1000 ono, feel free to fight over it.

looks in pretty good nick, how long since a/c has been disconnected?

it was disconnected a few weeks ago - when the cross member went in. Worked fine before then, just needs re-gassed.

Decided to keep the car and do the work on it. Have managed to resurrect the head gasket for now....rest will do in time.
