If so, does it allow you to change your fuel and timing maps within your ECU ROM?

These have sold between $150 & $222 over the past couple of weeks + additional $30 for the software.

nope, it will allow you to read what the ecu is doing, timing value's, rpm, air-flow, duty cycles etc, but only on a standard ecu, with standard maf / injectors, as it only tells you what the ecu is sending out / in, not always true values.

dont pay more than 125 aus$ for one, and get the nissan datascan software, which i think is around 30aus$

Its a good thing to have for troubleshooting problems on the car though.
