what's up with fred?

wonder whats happening?

Turbo blown an oil seal...leaking oil into intake whilst idling(big plume of smoke on accelaration!!!).... had a look see if there was anything to tighten, exhaust manifold cracked right through... now currently with standard exhaust manifold to 2 1/2" system. "refreshed engine mounts"... Engine to go under the "knife" soon to mount new head gasket, rings, bearings, soon (its done 340,000 after all)... Making new turbo manifold and getting gt17 refurbished... and will be updating all mounts and fiddly bits so that nothing rubs and looks out of place. Its surprising how quite the turbo makes an exhaust system.... Havta replace the water pump too...

Because of this stuff, the EV is still waiting its turn...

ta, frank, thankfully my engine guy likes a challenge, so hopefully I can be on the turbo wagon again very soon without wasting too many dollars.
