buying a micra

Fri 09 Jan 2009 02:28:01 PM
hello im am looking at buying a nissan micra. I have found a 1995 one 3 dr basic model im pretty sure. It has around 210-215000 kms im just wondering if this is too much and how long the engine and transmission will last in this car. They want $2750 probly a bit much but dunno. Any help or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated. They can cruise at 100-110kph fine right?

Hi, yeh it is abit much for a micra with those k's, what condition is it in??
I have a silver super s that will be for sale in about 3 weeks. Its done about 150,000, but i am putting a 70,000klm engine in as the old one had a blown headgasket. The car is in good condition with all the super s options. I am in Sydney.

Hey,
I bought my LX two years ago, it had 107,000km the owner was asking $4700. After a little bit of haggling I paid $3800. I just renewed the insurance and they value the car at $4700.
Go figure.

210'000 is kinda too much, I doubt what life's remaining on that engine.

What may help is find out how many owners it's had which will give a clear idea on how those km's were built up.. which makes a lot of difference.

From my point of view, definitely d clutch gotta be replaced.. the micras suffer this a lot. mine's close to having it's third clutch.

It's a '95 1.0L 5dr, even though since last year it had just 33,000 it was grandpa's. & after a yr & a month at me it clocked 44,444

cheers mate ,
Ian
