Wed 12 Nov 2008 08:41:26 AM
hey,

dont know if anyone else would be interested in this but i found a great build up/restoration of a jdm classic 2000gt Hakosuka skyline here:

http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1600&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=b4a974b579bdf0b3c636abb4a50e8366

its a guy in sydney who imported it and its a great read, mega detailed. note there is allot of pictures and its very addictive reading so be prepared not to do anything else for a couple of hours... :D

My dad has owned a few old school z's, should have kept them worth alot in japan as well as those old skyline gt's.
Those L-series engines with triple webbers sound hot!!

Reading the whole thing is going to keep me up all night. I was at the CSA nats back in july this year, was plenty of early GT-R's around including several Hakosuka's. I desperately want a KGC-10 but just thinking about restoration issues in a build like that put me off :P And that one was a clean example to start off with!

There's a few nice examples I took some shots of in here in the CSA show gallery.
