Haha not bad. One thing though - get rid of that decal on the hatch :P Would look heaps better without it. Oh, and pre-facelift it!

Some non-shaky images of it when you're done would be good. If you could manage some macro shots of the finish on it it'd be awesome.

That may be the case, but for someone to do that to such a rare car (down here at least) he would almost certainly be shunned for eterinty :P Could work well with a K10 if you wanted to go with a rat rod type theme methinks...

Great result for the money—needs lowering to complete the look.

I painted a car with a brush and cheap white interior house paint once—needless to say that every time it rained and I drove off there'd be a white halo on the ground :D

done some more stuff yesterday and today...

painted my front bumper support bar, (as you can see it through my bumper holes) so did it white to go with the wheels.. also did my toe eyes front and rear, my panhard rod, and strut brace ends...also painted my dodgey alloy as the paint had cracked lol...i was gonna do more white under the engine bay, but wouldve looked OTT!

also whipped my pads out, they where down to the metal and fell to bits as i took them out! so just found some old ones in the shed, witch are close to metal...only temp until i can put some fresh ones in.

to fit the side skirts i just drilled the sills, then put some screws through them!

lol the drivers side skirt needs re-fitting as it doesnt sit right at the rear 1/4 plus it needs a sill re-pair! but the side skirts hide it :S

The K&N breathing in all the hot air past the radiator and exhaust manifold will wipe out the heat signature too =D

thought i would update lol, now has tinted prefacelift rear lights..re-lowered the front with kyb gas shocks and g-max springs. also fitted a facelift facelift 2001+ k11 rear wiper motor and arm, makes the rear look so much tidier!

also got a heat warped janspeed 4-branch manifold and cat back 2.5" stianless mandrell bend system with custom made thicker flanges, and 4" slash cut back box also. hopefully should be here next week!

and yes i need a new bonnet as its wrecked due to fitting bonnet pins as i miss drilled the screw holes :S also a front splitter wouldnt go a miss :)

Just tack a bit of plate behind and bog it up :P For something that simple I can't imagine why you'd go and get a whole new bonnet - it's not like it's deformed or anything.

Maybe it's just because parts are a bit harder to come by down here and are less likely to just want to throw things out ;)

i carnt really bog it up as the bent metal goes upwards and would be lumpy if i fillered etc and what not lol. parts are quite easy to get over here tho. theres loads of micras in the scrapyards..just wish there where marchs tho, very rarely that we get any in the scarpyards! and when we do someone nicks all the parts off them before i get there! lol

This wasn't meant to be a big deal, and to be honest having only a few posts is irrelevant. That doesn't excuse someone for making sexist comments and they're not the only one. Of course being male you're bound to be biased... That's all. I know it was innocent but when you've learnt as much as I have on the subject it's hard to let it slide. Sorry everyone else, ignore.

fitted my new exhaust...

its a stainless steel 2.5" mandrell bend system, with a universal 4" slash cut back box..it used to have a silancer in, buts its been removed and had a mild steel 3" pipe welded in :S...its quite loud and has rasp to it. not much diffrnace over my old system tho. still need to pick up my manifold, then it will have only the back back, so should be raspy and really loud just the way i like it!

also did i spur of the moment thing and painted a spare rear veiw mirror with chrome effect paint...sadly looks nothing like chrome lol...
