18's fit!

Thu 07 Feb 2008 06:41:47 PM
well... i've been sick the last couple of days, started feeling better today, and i got bored, so i dragged out some 18's i had out the back.. to see if they would actually fit on ye old micra.. and indeed, no prob at all, doesn't hit the strut/guard, nothin.. dunno what the drive would be like thou.. definatelly not a mod i'd do.. looks gay with such a big wheel on a little car.. maybe if i did a micra 'autosalon' style. :) it is interesting to note that the wheel was perfectly inline with the gaurd especially with these measurements : 18x8 +45 tyres are falken 326 215/35/18 .. there was heaps of space between the wheel and the strut, atleast an inch.. makes me think atleast 8.5' wide would fit with minimal guard mods with the right offset.. anyway.
p.s its on stock suspension..

There was a show (autosalon) car from Sydney with 17x7s and with abit of a kit on the car the wheels looked pretty small! So with the right body work 18s could look fin i think
