Hey Guys,
As there wasnt enough interest for the springs, been looking into braided brake lines, would anyone be interested in a group buy? Their made by Maltech in VIC, maltech.com.au. People in VIC can most likely pick em up, or i'll get them all delivered here then ship em out, and peeps in syd can pick up if they want to. This is an email i received from them: Hi Jason, Front hoses work out to be $85.00 each and the rears $60.00 each So the set is $290.00 Inc GST & Postage This set will also include 2 new banjo bolts and 4 copper washers. Regards Steve Maltech - keep in mind this is one purchase, if we get a couple might be able to drop the price even more. i'll need to send my own lines (95 LX) down for them to make a copy and they come in various colours too. pic attached, colours cost the same. you can get braided lines from micrasport.com, http://micrasport.com/prodtype.asp?strParents=72&CAT_ID=75&numRecordPosition=1 but their not ADR approved. i'll only be getting fronts. if interested reply here, i think if we get around 10+ ppl they might be able to drop the price even more. update 22/2 ppl interested turbo march-rolling shell maat fred sikk11 mickeybbb lam.666 |

hey jason, try specialised brake and clutch(SBCS) in penrith they are located in peachtree, they should be able to do it cheaper for you tell them carlos sent you down, if you are interested i will try and find there number.

spoke to richard at SBCS (4722 2730) and they would need to have a look at the lines first b4 they quote but looking at $80 for a braided line. group buys need at least 20 purchasers for a discount.

he chages depending on how long they are, so the rears should be cheaper.

have you tried anywhere locally for pricing? i was at a place a few months ago down near motorama at springwood, they did custom brake lines there.. have no idea how much they were but.

we had some groupbuys of brakelines (same brakequip machine used, tagged, adr approved) done for our S15s..
we just had to give the guy one set of our stock lines and he made em up.. we got 4x brake lines + 1x clutch line for $140 total. hopefully you will be able to source a more competitive price this is what we got:    |

yeah thats a very good price aaron, how many ppl were part of the groupbuy tho? was it from cebco in vic? if so i've also sent them an email for a price, just waiting to hear back from them.

$140 for all 4 or less cause a clutch line isn't much use is pretty reasonable

" these people are nuts.. $95 a line? so it'd cost almost $500 for what aaron got for $140! what a joke, maybe should ask how much the price would drop by if we got 10 or more.. but i think, no matter how many we'd buy, it wouldn't drop down to $140.... |

aaron, were you able to get a contact number for us?
heard back from Maltech and with 5+ ppl in a group buy it would cost $250 a set i dont have my car at the moment, can someone possibly get me lengths of the lines front and rears so i can send more emails, hopefully we can get a better deal like aarons $140 set, but i think for that price we might need to get 20+ ppl. guess we'll see what happens. |

i spoke to the guy last night and he said he'd speak to his brake guy.
ball park figure would be $150 he told me but more details as I get them i think you need to order at least 10 sets to make it worth while |
