almost there!!

hi guys.
just about to purcahse my new pioneer headunit and some new speakers. i went to a sound shop here in the u.k and they suggested these 16 cm component ones. but i wasnt so keen, i foun some pioneer ones which are 17 cm!! are they still going to fit in my 96 micra???

i 2nd that, spilts is the shiznit, gotta have a sub but, or atleast 6x9's in the back, splits give great highs, but shit bass, maybe the cheap ones give good bass? i find the more money you spend on splits, the clearer and better sounding they are, but with less boom boom.. i also got a headunit for sale.... but.. i just saw your overseas..

nah i reckon 15cm will be max without cutting stuff

but do what we did... try it...

17cm is just a lil bit big. I've managed to get Hertz 16.5cm Speakers in via MDF Spacers. Make sure you get a shallow mount speakers too. The diameter is crucial. If u take the door trim off you'll know what I mean. Needs to fit into the circular pod around the speaker trim of the panel. To be honest I reckon 17cm will fit if you trim to plastc mould off on the inner side trim, but depth will be an issue!
