Duff radio!

Wed 03 Oct 2007 12:51:56 AM
Hi,
newbie here and thanks for letting me on the forums.
I have just got a Micra vibe, 1996 1.0ltr.
The radio turns on and the backlight comes on but the screen is blank.
What to do next? Any ideas?

Thanks very much,

Chris.

Actually, you could rip the wiring connector socket out of the back and solder the wires on for your new unit.
I've done the same thing with the door speakers.
Makes for a tidy install & eliminates any chances of crimp connectors coming loose. Also lets you change back to standard if you want to sell the car. (I butchered the speakers & head unit from Pick-a-part, i.e. wreckers)
