FS: 1996 Super S - Victoria

1996 Nissan Micra Super-S
Ultramarine Blue

This car had a custom turbo kit fitted prior..the whole kit + full exhaust has been sold now to site member Tony. (Hence why there is no exhaust) The engine is a bit tired because the 4th cylinder has about 40% leakdown past the rings. The rest of the cylinders are 5-10%.

Stock standard including 13" steel wheels and lowered standard springs. It has factory optioned floor mats as well. The aftermarket headunit is no longer functioning. It is wired with a plug loom/kit so plugging a stock or after market headunit will be no issues as the standard wiring/plugs have been retained.

Interior in excellent condition no rips or tears and kept clean.
Exterior is in excellent condition, with no major panel damage.
Paint is in very good condition with no oxidation/peeling issues. There are the usual stonechips and a few scratches.

Engine would suit reco/rebuild or Japanese import motor.
Suit project car/engine swap (SR20?!?!)

Only ~280 or so were originally sold here in Oz..Making this a rare find.

RWC/Rego will not be supplied. Should be able to get RWC without any major hassles. Registration ran out on the 30th of September. I have 3 months to renew if I wanted to still.

The typical going rate for a decent Super-S is around $6500..if you can find one. SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Super-S was the top of the range Micra..It had these features over the SLX/LX..

* ABS
* 4-Wheel disc brakes
* Rear Spoiler
* Driving lights
* Body colour mudflaps
* Body colour side mirrors/bumpers
* Glass sun-roof
* Flip-out rear side windows
* 3-spoke steering wheel
* Tachometer
* Better interior plastics/trim
* Sporty seats

Now here's whats wrong with the car (with pics linked if applicable):
* No interior bonnet release cable. Make-shift catch hidden in front grille.
* Engine would suit a reco/2nd hand japanese replacement (I bought one for $550 a couple of years ago). Be an excellent project base..Drop in an SR20DE??
* I believe the engine WILL run (stock standard) fine for a long time yet to come.. however no guarantees
* There's no exhaust from the headers back at the moment. Can arrange something with potential buyer.
* Has some minor/slight damage around the rear numberplate surround on the hatch. Photo 1 - Photo 2
* Front lower cross member smacked something and has some minor damage. Photo 1

* Small chip in one front headlight
* No radio/cdplayer

Why has no one brought this car yet? It looks tidy as,and if you ask me its way to cheap. If i had the cash i'd buy it as a runabout.

oh how crappy the timing, and location... :D
