Why do they put tape on their lights??

Generally I thought it was because if they get cracked/break, it'll stay in one piece rather than falling all over the track.

Thats correct. Most classes of racing require headlight protectors/clear film or tape on headlights to stop broken glass hitting the track after a bingle and cutting tyres.

Yeah, made me smile seeing so many Micras in one spot zooming around. Sort of jealous as well in that I don't think that will happen in Perth anytime soon.

More impressive is the FWD drift action in the video listed by deNs.

Impressive, but I don't like ass-dragging as much as proper RWD drift :P With such a small wheel base, you'd have a tough time holding a nice slide in that FR March without spinning around.

But it would be oh so much fun :D
