Oil?

Just reading the thread hijack that Yom started and thought, why not start up on a new thread.


Yom, I remember during the meet you were testing some oil that was good for heaps of Kms.

Please, Give opinion re oil and filter usage etc.

Seems silly to spend $60 on oil to be gone by only 10K, or do u just by cheap oil and replace often?

I should be getting some test results of my now 10,000km old NEO Gold 10w40 oil (mean to last 1yr/20,000km) fairly soon. Filter has been replaced once at 5000km and the next filter change is pending the oil analysis.

I have a suspicion the oil will be close to the end of its life due to leaky injector unfortunately. :(




The other thing the oil analysis can do is pick up developing problems with your engine by looking at the different metal contents in the oil and what is normal/excessive.

Thats a nifty little product! Might have to get 1 just out of interest.
