How to look after your drive belts. |

Even with the extra drive pulley and the supercharger belt at correct tension I could at times get some belt squeel under very hard acceleration and also if coming off the throttle very suddenly. Found this stuff called CRC belt grip in an aerosol can. Says it revives old belts, helps life of belts and creates a non slip surface.
Man it works. Applied a little to the inside of the belt and no more squeel.Applied over 2 months ago and still going great. Sticky as but does not attract dust etc. Be interesting to see how long it lasts before I have to give the belt/pulleys another squirt. |
