Coolant hose connection for a T20 turbo

Sun 01 Oct 2006 04:18:34 AM
Hi,

I have a question where to install the coolant hoses from a T20 turbo.
The turbo is water cooled, but what's the best place to connect it to?

The Hayes manual says some coolant parts are not used when the engine is cold or not yet on temperature like the radiator (controlled by the thermostat).
I was thinking of connecting the turbo with T-pieces to and from the heater connection like this:
engine out -> T-piece to turbo inlet -> heater inlet
heater outlet -> T-piece to turbo outlet -> water pump
This because the heater coolant is constantly flowing.

Does someone has a better idea or is my idea good and safe enough?

Thanks in advance.
