Central Locking in Micra

Tue 25 Jul 2006 06:23:29 PM
Hey people,

My missus bought a 97 Micra the other day, not a bad car at all pretty decent for a little car. Anyway, when we have gone to get insurance quotes, they all say Central Locking is standard. Her's doesnt exist, or doesnt seem to be working. Can anyone shed any light on this, as I wouldnt mind getting it working if it is there already, if not i cant be stuffed getting an aftermarket system. It's a 2 door LX if that helps.

They look to have a decent engine bay in them, I was pondering whether my sr20ve would fit in with 5 speed pulsar box :P

G'day Gary,

Congratulations on your wise new purchase. Unfortunately I dont think central locking came standard on the 2 door LX,I think it was only a standard feature on the 96/97 SLX which was a 5 door.

Regards

Answer to your second question: ask the taiwanese. They're especially good with the VE conversions.

Congrats on the micra too.
