My new drive car

Sun 12 Feb 2006 07:52:38 PM
I'm now the owner of a 2dr 1L 5spd micra.
It has a brown interior, yuck!
It'll do more than 120km/hr, waiting on borrowing a radar dectector before finsing out top speed. Have a small bet on.
It's only for driving to work so should be good on gas. And it was relatively cheap to buy, NZ$2000. It's done 132,000km.
Not quite the G# spec I was looking at last week. That ended up selling for NZ$3220

Congrats. Sounds like a fun little daily driver.

Are you going to do anything to it? Or just keep it reliable and fuel efficient ;)

No salt on our roads thou, so no rust.
Glad I didn't get the sunroof model, I need the headroom.
It will only ever be a fuel miser / hack.
If I wanted something faster, a mate has just fitted an SR20 to a K12. I hear the chassis rails are now going to be lifted 75mm too. It's going to be pretty low to the ground when finished.
How many people have had the handbrake start to tear away from the body? Tears in the steel around the nuts. I think mine has this problem too.

Nope never heard of the handbrake coming away. Only happened to me many many moons ago when I had a Mini 850.
Maybe someone been doing too many handbrake turns !!
