recent dyno power run + results |
Fri 10 Feb 2006 12:07:24 AM |
Went to a dyno last night, wanted an air/fuel ratio graph just to make sure everything is running ok and my car aint leaning out.
anyway it did lean out pretty bad up top end, pretty sure why though.. dyno's map sensor wasn't connected properly. its an inline type and the return wasnt plugged in.. = leaking vacuum. this is a problem because my car runs off a map sensor for my ecu as well. meaning my car would have been running 5-8 pound in the top end of the rev range, where the ecu because of the vacuum leak would have read lower boost meaning less fuel = leaning out. anyway taking it back soon and putting everything in properly just to make sure. because I know for sure that its not detonating on heavly loads...and if it was im sure it would have blown in the last 8 months of thrashing. so yeah, we backed off at about 5000rpm where i got 78kw at the wheels. here's the dyno graph if anyone is interested. ![]() you can see it was still making power, the graph hadn't started flattening out yet. pretty much on the rise still. there was a turbo Starlet Life! there too which was pretty interesting. Not too sure what he was running but he got 88fwkw. I shouldve been able to pull over 90kw..but I guess we'll see on the re-run. |

Interesting aaron. On that graph you will pull better than 90kw methinks.

Yeah interesting. Thanks.
Yeah get back there and beat that starlet man! You will easily be making more than 88. |

5000rpm isn't very much you know. My peak power was made at almost 8000rpm. You would have to be putting out a fair bit more than this reading if they kept revving it. Your graph was clearly not plateauing yet.
