I SOLD MY 1995 RED LX TO MY SISTER. It was an awsome car, I bought it stock standard with 48000km in 2004, and sold it with 105000km in 2008.
Now I drive a 96-built Series 2 Super S with airbag, power steering, aircon, six speaker stereo etc.
Here are some photos from when Yom owned the car:
The run down of how Charlotte is at the moment include the details below.
Mods from previous owners include: Clear indicators, 14x6 Black Racing 8spoke mags, 2" exhaust with something like a 3-4" tip, N15 SSS Pulsar discs and calipers, KYB Shocks on stock springs, lightweight battery installed under passenger seat, LUK heavy duty clutch kit. There is also a pretty basic stereo upgrade including Kenwood(?) 6x9s in the rear shelf, some two-way 6 inch speakers in the doors and there used to be an old clarion single cd head unit.
I have installed: 3.6kg JUN flywheel, a big improvement over stock acceleration. I recieved a new Pioneer head unit for Christmas. The DEH-P4050UB, still pretty basic, but a lot better than before. Now I can connect my 8GB thumb drive to it and play mp3s directly, or use the AUX input to do hands free from the Nokia... also installed 50mm drop K-Mac springs, with koni adjustable shocks and the whiteline adjustable panhard rod.
I got a 2x60w Alpine amp, a 2x50w kicker amp, and a 250w 12inch sub for $80 from a work mate, and just put the alpine amp and the sub in. I think the amp runs about 140w bridged. Not bad, makes a huge difference in such a small car.
Some photos of the Jun flywheel from before it went in:
A timelapse of the suspension install. lol.
I am looking for: Swaybars, camber adjuster bolts, window tint, maybe an alarm, bigger TB and injectors and the JayCar DFA, all $$$ dependent of course :o)
I need: Install the power windows, electric mirrors and extractors I have sitting in the shed.
